About Steve
Three decades of bringing soul to the stage.
Steve Wilson began playing saxophone at nine years old and quickly found his love for performing. By thirteen he had started his own jazz combo, featured at the 1994 Sacramento Jazz Jubilee. At sixteen he joined the ska band Skiptooth, whose music appeared on MTV's Road Rules and The Cut, the Crusty Demons of Dirt series, and a string of compilation albums.
Since then Steve has performed and recorded across jazz, funk, ska, and tribute acts throughout Southern California and beyond, including Superbad, The Newport Beat, Hearts of Fire (an Earth, Wind & Fire tribute), and The Winehouse Experience, where he spent eight and a half years as an original member of the world's premier Amy Winehouse tribute, touring nationally and to Australia in 2019.
